More Information

This might just be the most experimental and unforgettable coffee we have ever brought to you at Poblado, and one that will almost definitely change your expectations of what coffee can be.

This coffee comes to us through Cofinet and is the result of years-worth of hard work, experimentation and perfecting by the innovative third generation Colombian farmer Jairo Arcilla, at his farm ‘Finca la Esmerelda’, which he has been growing coffee at for nearly 40 years.

This coffee was exposed to a dry anaerobic fermentation period of 72 hours, during which this strawberries and wine yeast were added. The cherries were then pulped and placed to dry on raised beds with ripe fresh strawberries placed amongst the coffee until the ideal moisture content was achieved

The resulting cup is bursting with intense and unmistakable strawberry notes, complemented with a vanilla sweetness. You simply have to drink it to believe it.
